All work must be shown for any credit.
Homework is turned in every FRIDAY.
All work is turned in to the class tray. Once graded, it will be passed back and filed in the class work folders.
Respect will be given. Respect will be received.
We will be using Google Classroom to keep track of assignments. Extra copies of homework assignments can be found there.
How Grades Work...
Test/Quizzes/Projects are FORMAL. 65% of total grade
Homework/Classwork/Participation/Warm Ups are all INFORMAL. 35% of total grade
Corrections for Test/Quizzes must be completed and must be 100% accurate before any retake is given.
Grades are entered weekly. (Please view via PowerSchool)
Little Jonny says that the "0" in the gradebook is because Ms. McArthur hasn't entered it yet, but he turned it on time with his name on it and everything.... FALSE. "0"s indicate that I never received it. If it is left blank, or marked exempt, I have not graded it, or it was not for a grade. Bottom line, ZEROS ARE BAD!!
Supplies needed to be successful.
1) 5 subject notebook (this is the most important resource for my math class). 2) Pencils 3) Markers or Crayons or Colored pencils 4) Glue Sticks 5) Whiteboard Markers (students will use whiteboards to practice in class... they like that more than paper and pencil) 6)Kleenex (because any given day, there's at least one student with a runny nose) 7) Clorox wipes (because the teacher is responsible for keeping all the germy desks clean) 8) Hand Sanitizer (to try to prevent the use of Kleenex)
